You can complete up to 5 Extra Credit assignments per semester.  Assignments range from 5 to 10 points.  Other Extra Credit  opportunities may arise throughout the year.  Below is a sample list you can do for extra credit (These are only samples, you are not limited to doing what's listed below.  They are only suggestions.  See me if you have other ideas for Extra Credit.

Watch a video (U.S. History) from the Brainpop website. On a sheet of paper please do the following:

• Write your name, period, and the title of the video.
• Copy and answer the 10 question quiz.
• You must complete the quiz with a 10 out of 10 (100%).

Read a newspaper article of a major story affecting the United States or the World today from the Front Page of a Newspaper such as the Los Angeles Times.  Please do the following:

• Write a 1 paragraph summary.
• Write a 1 paragraph opinion or reaction to the article.
• Here's a link to the LA Times and a link to CNN

Using the current chapter's vocabulary words you can create a:

• Word Search Activity
• Crossword
• A short essay using the vocabulary words

Research an internet site on a area we are currently studying.  You must:

• Document the website found (print a page of the website).
• Write a 1 page report on the website and what you have learned.
• If you check my internet links here on my web page, you can use one of those sites listed.

Create a poster using information from an area or chapter we are studying.
