The easiest way of contacting me is through email.  I check my emails regularly and I typically respond promptly.  If you need to email me, please use the email link on this page by clicking to the envelope under where it says EMAIL ME. 

 

Students, if you need to email me an assignment or project, you cannot do this through the email link located on the left side this web page.  You need to attach the file through the email program that you use (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) and send the email to SJV2137@lausd.net after attaching your file.

CREATING A BIBLIOGRAPHY (PLEASE CHOOSE LINK)

You can create a bibliography by clicking on the following link:  CLICK HERE or HERE or HERE

  1. Then choose MLA Format.  For the website citationmachine.net, please make sure to choose Create Citation and then MLA Format.
  2. Then Enter each book used & website used and then copy the result into a Microsoft Word File.

Extra Credit Opportunities

You can complete up to 5 Extra Credit assignments per semester.  Typically, each assignment is worth 10 points.  You will be alerted as to any other Extra Credit  opportunities that arise throughout the year.  Below is a list of things you can do for extra credit (These are samples of what you can do.  You are not limited to doing what's listed below.  These are only suggestions.  See me if you would like to do something else for Extra Credit):

Read a newspaper article of a major story affecting the United States or the World today from the Front Page of a Newspaper such as the Los Angeles Times.  Please do the following:

  • Write a 1 paragraph summary.
  • Write a 1 paragraph opinion or reaction to the article.
  • Here's a link to the LA Times and a link to CNN


Using the current chapter's vocabulary words you can create a:

  • Word Search Activity
  • Crossword
  • A short essay using the vocabulary words


Research an internet site on a area we are currently studying.  You must:

  • Document the website found (print a page of the website).
  • Write a 1 page report on the website and what you have learned.
  • If you check my internet links here on my web page, you can use one of those sites listed.


Create a poster using information from an area or chapter we are studying.
