Class Rules

1.  Be on time to class, in your seat, and ready to work.

2.  Be prepared with all materials and assignments at your desk

3.  Raise your hand to get permission to speak or leave your seat

4.  Food, beverages and gum is for the designated areas outside, not class

5.  Students must clean up his or her area before the dismissal bell (Reminder: the bell does not dismiss you, I do)

6.  Be polite and respectful to both your teacher, visitors, and fellow classmates at all times--

Welcome to Mrs. Harris' Homepage!


Hello, my name is Mrs. Harris and I  am located in room 708 this year where I will be  teaching 7th grade English.  I am a graduate of Cal - State Dominguez Hills where I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies and my Masters in Teaching and Curriculum.  I have always enjoyed English throughout my school years and I hope my students too enjoy English.  It is a pleasure to teach at South Gate Middle School Magnet and I look forward to working with both my new students and parents. 



Students must bring the following materials to class everyday:




1 composition book for notes

1 compostion book for journals

2 Blue or black ink pens only

2 pencils with erasers

pencil sharpener

Reminder: Please bring a positive attitude!

I highly recommend that your child be provided with the following:
