Mission and Goals For The Class

Eighth grade history students will develop:


►an awareness for the value to  study  the past for its contribution to life-long learning and effective habits of mind that lead to civic engagement. (American Historical Society)  

►make connections between historical issues and events and their application in contemporary society

►thinking skills that will help them use evidence and information to become problem solvers

►and confidence to know that they can be successful in school and in their lives
